Goof knew that after his 2 knee surgeries, he would no longer be able to continue working in the Maritime world and I knew that although I really enjoyed the oil and gas industry, there was something that we had been looking for a long time . After looking at various options both in the Netherlands and abroad, such as France, Hungary in the beautiful east of the Netherlands, we finally arrived in Germany. But there were also different options. The one we immediately fell in love with was almost complete, until the flood reached the Eifel and the hotel was completely submerged. But there's always a plan B up your sleeve. In the beautiful Sauerland! As of December 1, we have officially emigrated to Lennestadt. This “city” is actually a composition of several small villages bordering the river Lenne. We now live in the small village of Bonzel, where there are less than 400 inhabitants. With the kind support of the people of the village and the companies in the area, we have revived the hotel and we hope to receive many people who feel like a good bed, a good shower and a good glass of beer.
